Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Perch & Purr (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit perchandpurr.com. Perch & Purr is owned and operated by Fathom & Foundry.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not sell anything directly, so there is very little to collect.

• Analytics data. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which links are used. This includes information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and referring site. We do not use it to identify individuals.
• Contact form submissions. If you use the contact form we receive the name, email address, optional subject and message you provide, delivered to us by email. We keep these only as long as needed to deal with your message.
• Server and request data. Our hosting provider records standard request information such as IP address and user agent for security and operational purposes.
• Anti-spam signals. The contact form records when the form was loaded and applies a per-IP submission limit. This is used only to reject automated submissions.

Cookies and similar technologies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish between visits and sessions. Affiliate programs, including Amazon Associates, may set cookies when you click through to a retailer so that a resulting purchase can be attributed to us. Those cookies are set by the retailer or network, on their own terms.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not stop you reading anything on this site.

Affiliate links

Product links on this site pass through a redirect on our own domain (/go/…) before reaching the retailer. That redirect exists so a destination can be updated in one place and so we can see which links get used. It does not attempt to identify you.

Once you arrive at the retailer, that retailer’s own privacy policy applies. We have no access to your purchases, payment details or account. How the affiliate arrangement works is described on the affiliate disclosure page.

Third parties involved

• Google Analytics — site analytics. See Google’s privacy policy.
• Vercel — hosting and content delivery.
• Microsoft — contact form messages are delivered by email through Microsoft services.
• Amazon — affiliate program and product imagery served from Amazon’s content delivery network.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with anyone beyond the providers above.

Children

This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices

• Block cookies or use a browser that limits tracking.
• Opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
• Ask us to delete a contact form message you sent, by emailing the address below.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described rather than made silently.
